That is why we have decided to move the release date to February 4th, 2022. Unfortunately, we’ve realized for us to bring the game to the level we envision, we need more time to polish and optimize it. It is by far the biggest and the most ambitious project we’ve ever done. The game is complete and we are currently playtesting. The team is steadily progressing with the production and the game is nearing the finish line. Every day, we strive to grow in this element.

Today, we have important news to share with you about the development progress on Dying Light 2 Stay Human. Pawel Marchewka, the CEO of Techland, wrote a letter to the community which you can see below: Plus an extra two months to polish a game is never a bad thing.
In my opinion, this is a smart move as that December date meant it was going to be in direct competition with Halo Infinite which is slated for a December 8th release. It was set to be released on December 7, 2021, and will now be released on February 4, 2022. The team over at Techland has revealed that Dying Light 2 Stay Human is going to be pushed back a couple of months.
